WELCOME TO THE WEXFORD COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY PHOTO GALLERIES
Among the WCHS’s collections are several thousand images of historical significance that have been scanned from photos dating from the early 1870’s to modern times. These photographs have been sorted into thematic groupings for ease of navigation through this site.
While every reasonable attempt has been made to determine the accuracy of the descriptions of these images, mistakes can occur. If you notice one, please submit feedback here. This is a continuing process as new images are entered and existing ones are updated. The images themselves are a product of the equipment used to take them. Some are out of focus, some are broken or ripped, but every effort has been made to preserve the images for future generations to enjoy.
You may download images from this website for your personal use. If you share them on social media or with friends, please credit the museum. Non-watermarked images are available by request for proper projects, with credit given to the museum.

Also, we welcome your photos dating from the 1870s to today. People, buildings, events, structures, etc. etc. We want to preserve our history, whether old or relatively new. Someday, someone will be thankful for that picture. Donations are always welcome, or if you wish to retain your originals, please bring them to the museum where they will be scanned for you within a few days. Or, if you are technically savvy yourself, feel free to scan them and submit them to us!
The WCHS is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, committed to the preservation and presentation of the history and culture of Wexford County. Our funding is dependent on contributions and membership dues, and we greatly appreciate donations for this image sharing service as well as other WCHS programs.
